The Silvies Valley Ranch is nestled in the heart of historic Eastern Oregon. The Silvies River runs through the lush green meadows of the ranch fed by tributaries out of the Ochoco, Strawberry and Aldrich mountains. Over the years, hardy pioneers and cowboys worked the meadows, valleys and surrounding mountains carving out homesteads and raising their families.
Originally founded in 1883, today Silvies Valley Ranch is a working commercial cattle ranch. It consists of approximately 140,000 acres of leased and private land. Aside from raising grass fed and finished heritage beef cattle and premium blend hay, the ranch is highly focused on reconstruction ecology and has many riparian and wildlife habitat restoration projects in various stages of completion.
In keeping with the ranch’s 120 year old legacy we are highly focused on fully embracing the significant commitments to ecological enhancement and conservation of natural resources that are a hallmark of Silvies Valley Ranch’s core philosophies reflected in our Mission and Promise:
“Caring for our Environment, Livestock, Friends and Families”
