Welcome to Northside Base Camp!

We are happy to have you stay in our front yard! Joshua & Elisha, your hosts live just up the hill from here in our own off grid cabin. We are two empty nest, nomad souls that purchased this property in 2020, in an attempt to run away from the rest of the world. We live here with our two dogs, Porsche the Boxer and Bruno the Great Pyrenees, who may roam a bit and come visit on occasion. This view and the quiet fresh eastern Oregon air have provided us with much relaxation and appreciation for nature’s beauty. Some of our favorite quiet moments are spent enjoying a cup of coffee at sunrise, and celebrating ‘happy hour’ with a margarita, wine or whiskey to wind down the day at sunset.

The cabin you are staying in was hand milled on this property from local Pine and Tamarack trees. They were custom designed and built on site for your enjoyment of the beautiful view of the Strawberry Mountain Range. We hope you enjoy the wilderness, in its natural state. If there are insects or pests, it is difficult to keep them out of their natural habitat, we do our best for you to have a comfortable stay. You may see deer, turkey, a fox or other wildlife during your stay. Please don’t be alarmed, they will usually respect your privacy, if you respect theirs.
